Attendance Reviews
An Attendance Review is an overview of your whole school systems and policy for attendance. It includes discussions with key staff, governor and pupil voice and a statistical analysis of absence data with local and national comparators.
The report is delivered in draft form within two working weeks and will recognise good practice already working in the school as well as making recommendations for further improvements. Education Five can also develop and deliver an action plan from these recommendations if desired by the school.

Working with you to improve education welfare
Anne-Marie Cartwright
Education Welfare Consultant
I have over 19 years experience in Education Welfare. Over this time, I have developed effective professional relationships with staff in schools and have assisted schools to improve their outcomes for attendance and inclusion. A firm believer in one size does not fit all I offer a bespoke service to schools looking to make improvements or to maintain good outcomes.
For nine years I worked as a local authority attendance and exclusion manager. I was responsible for the development and management of the team and the service delivery, interpreting DfE guidance and legislation into workable school attendance policy and the authorisation of prosecutions. I was accountable for the local authorities outcomes for attendance and exclusion and also developed good working relationships with colleagues in similar roles across local authorities.
As an accredited workplace coach, I see that the investment in colleague’s professional development, confidence and job role is crucial. I also believe the need for quality supervision of staff in roles that deal with families and children experiencing varying difficulties that result in poor attendance or behavior at school. Education Five provides these services to school staff.
I have developed networks of good practice within the schools I work with and offer training on exclusion and attendance related matters from on the job up skilling for new members of staff to more formal training offered to schools’ staff and governors/ trustees.
Education Five brings together experience, knowledge and a proven track record of making improvements to school attendance and exclusion rates. Pragmatic and flexible Education Five can provide a bespoke, responsive service to your school.
